II.- How to get to the hotel?
From the airport Schiphol, please, take the train to the Central Station (Amsterdam Centraal), and from there tram 16 or 24 to Keizersgracht (4th stop) and walk 150 m to the left along the canal until the intersection of Keizersgracht and Reguliersgracht.
You can also take tram 4 until Keizersgracht (5th stop!!) and walk 100 m to the right along the Keizersgracht until the corner of Reguliersgracht.
A taxi from Schiphol to the hotel is € 45.-, from the Central Station to the hotel it is ± € 11.
Please ALWAYS ask the driver how much it will be, BEFORE you enter the car.
Although we do not work with that company you can take the Connexxion airport shuttle which stops at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel on Herengracht - 2 minutes from us.
III.- Is there WIFI in the rooms?
Definitely!
Free of charge, such as all local telephone calls.
...We even lend you a laptop - of course, also free of charge - to take to your room for one hour or two; unfortunately not daylong, because other guests might be also in dire need of this indispensable modern weapon to avoid any dangerous thinking about the meaning of life. It kills time and therefore successfully helps you to shorten your life on our beautiful planet.
IV.- Is there a hair dryer in the room?
What do you expect ? For God's sake, PLEASE do not ask this surrealistic question...
V.- Is there an elevator in this authentic canal house from 1710?
No!
...But, as a very original alternative, there is an exotic staircase, which is breathtakingly steep and extremely narrow - such as you have already expected in an authentic Amsterdam canal house, which is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site...
So, if you are daredevil enough to travel with huge and heavy emigration & immigration suitcases you need to be quite young and strong, because we are deplorably old and weak and therefore - unfortunately - cannot assist you with this herculean challenge to carry the heavy load upstairs.
VI.- Is there air conditioning in this historic monument from 1710?
Believe it or not, although totally unexpected and absolutely not to be expected: there is airco in all of our rooms...
A rather strange luxury, which you might not even be able to enjoy, because Amsterdam is still in Nothern Europe, and NOT YET (!) in Africa or Florida, or a part of Tokyo...
VII.- Where is the hotel located?
In the historic centre of Amsterdam, the world famous canal belt - a UNESCO World Heritage Site - at the intersection of the pictoresque Reguliersgracht and the majestic Keizersgracht, the well-known Seven Bridges Area, which the hotel borrowed its name from.
Please click on "Satellite Map" on this home page, and also do not miss to see the many photos by clicking on "Our Location".
VIII.- When can we check-in, and when need we to check-out?
Check-in is 13.00 h - Check-out is 11.00 h
It goes whithout saying, you can leave your luggage with us, before check-in and after check-out.
The reception is open from 8.00 h until 21.00 h.
As in most small hotels in the world, you will also get a key for the entrance door.
